The train drivers have won. They may as well call off all further strike action and drop any more phoney talk about pay rises. This was never about money.
Delhi grappled with a severe cold wave today, causing widespread disruptions in air and rail travel. The National Capital woke up to another chilling morning with temperatures recorded in single digits, leading to dense fog and significantly reduced visibility. The IMD reported a decline in visibility at Delhi-Palam from 400 meters at 2:00 am to 100 meters at 2:30 am, further dropping to 0 meters since 3:00 am. The challenging weather conditions affected nearly a dozen passenger trains heading to the national capital, including the Amritsar-Nanded Express, Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Exp, Ambedkarnagar-Katra, and Manikpur-Nizamuddin Express.
