Officials from the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s department tell us the 22-year-old was northbound on Trail Three near Silver Mine Road when she missed a turn, left the trail, and hit several trees. She was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw, and then transferred to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment of her injuries. Her name has not been released. Speed was determined to have been a factor in the crash. An investigation continues.
