politician dollars couldn t control our democracy the way they are now. we re just going to have to let history play itself out. it will be slow and laborious. it s not going to be filing a lawsuit and getting five justices with life tenure to fix it for us. justice can kagan calling the decision, quote, tragically wrong. she in that dissent she wrote in part for the first time ever this court refused to remedy a constitutional violation because it thinks the task is beyond judicial capabilities. again, that coming from justice elena kagan. thank you and a big thanks to the rest of the panel as well. pete and tom down there in washington. let s turn to politics now and the democrats, big debate last night, round two tonight. my colleague chris jansenry mains at her post in miami on the day after and the eve of, i suppose, the first of these democratic debates. chris. another slow morning here craig in the news business. of course ten democrats took the
isn t this august, not supposed to be a lot going on. don t you wish one day we d say there s nothing going on, go home. change the channel. a lot has to do with the economy, up first president obama talking jobs in the heartland of america. the president is in iowa this morning. no straw polls. no campaigns it s a campaign stop. it s a campaign-style trip through three mid western states. he ll meet with a group of farmers and small business owners today. he s been making his pitch for job growth and sounding a familiar theme that republicans are playing politics with the economy. the problem we have is not with our country. the problem is, that our politics is broken.
