Protesters briefly shut down I-43 in Milwaukee, causing traffic delays via WisDOT cameras. and last updated 2021-04-12 23:25:33-04 MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police confirm protesters shut down northbound I-43 near West North Avenue in Milwaukee Monday evening, leading to traffic delays. MPD said in a statement that officers were monitoring a group of protesters in the area of North MLK Drive and West Chambers. The group protested on city streets and moved onto westbound West Center from MLK Drive. From there, several people from the group walked onto northbound lanes of I-43 West Locust and West Keefe, police said. Milwaukee County Sheriff s deputies arrived and shut down traffic. Milwaukee police assisted the Sheriff s Department with traffic control only, MPD says.

And while no one can predict the future, that doesn’t mean we can’t prepare for it.”
