it is practical and being proactive, and we need to do more of that. what we are seeing in the administration is one crisis after another crisis, and mothers babies in this country cannot continue to feed the fire that this administration starts and then essentially has no solution for. tammy: that is very true and we know that it was the plant shutdown that impacted this, we also know about 44% of baby formula in this country comes from china. so when you have the trade issues. when you have the pandemic. also there are so many different elements that can cause this problem. talking about food shortages, charlie, that we should expect. why would baby formula be exempt from that? yeah, it s because these people care more about trade, for example, with china, then they do the american people.
are they permanent? is this the permanent republican party much to the chagrin to my friends who want to talk about smaller government, lower taxes, foreign policy, trade issues, free trade issues, those are all gone. all they are now is about grievance and anger and people who are mad, and want to screw the system. that s what it s about now for the republican party. the question is, is that a good long-term strategy to lead a nation like america? i don t think it is, but the voters will tell us. i think that s mostly right. the one place that sticks out though is ukraine and russia, right, because you haven t seen republicans move towards a, you know, pro-putin position, nato skepticism. sort of been, yeah, tucker carlson, and the people who have are the people in the primary. which is something, we all may have to reckon with if they actually get into power. thank you guys, that s all we have for today and thank you for watching. we ll be back next week, because

it was pretty clear where he was going. i think a number of us, including the president, secretary blinken, had hoped that there could be some offramping at the last minute to avert this disaster. but it was not to be. so, mr. putin has started something that he can t control. and every time that you start a war, you start an invasion, you start any type of military incursion, you lose control of it. and everything becomes hair triggered. it s like handling nitroglycerin. and that s particularly dangerous here because there are so many uncontrollables, nato countries on the eastern border of europe that were formerly behind the iron curtain of the soviet union. you ve got issues, economic issues, trade issues, energy issues. the world interconnected now. so, nobody is going to get out of this without without some difficulty. and the economy is going to be a big part of this, wolf.
he s delivered the toughest sanctions that are really crippling mr. putin and the russian economy. and more importantly, he s delivered international support, unity, globally under the leadership of president biden and now we re providing humanitarian assistance in ukraine and in regard to the refugees. what mr. zelenskyy wants is more and we all want more. he wants us to have a staying power. the house of representatives passed an important bill yesterday that dealt with trade issues and the enablers to those who commit the atrocities. we want to see that done. so i think we need to do more. you have to stay resolved. president biden has provided the leadership to allow ukraine to defense itself and has organized unity among the global community. the democratic senator, ben cardin, thank you for your time. coming up next, as russia hammers ukraine, what happens to the people who can t leave? plus, what is it like to
