Unlock 1.0, the first phase of easing out of the lockdown will begin in
Bengaluru from Monday onwards. The state government will initiate
marginal relaxations for the covid-induced lockdown.
Chief Minister
BS Yediyurappa said, explaining the relaxations from Monday on, that all industries are permitted to function with 50 per cent of their total strength.
However, in the case of garments, only 30 per cent workers are allowed, he said. Essential shops are also permitted to function until 2 pm, he added. “These guidelines will be effective until June 21. If the covid positivity rate dips further, then we will consider more relaxations,” the Chief Minister said.
