If you are advised to stay indoors, keep indoor air as clean as possible. Keep windows and doors closed unless it is extremely hot outside. Run an air conditioner if you have one, but keep the fresh air intake closed and the filter clean to prevent outdoor smoke from getting inside. Running a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter or an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) can also help you keep your indoor air clean. If you do not have an air conditioner and it is too warm to stay inside with the windows closed, seek shelter elsewhere.

State recommends masks indoors
Oregon s health agency is now recommending everyone including people who have been vaccinated wear masks when in public indoor spaces.
In late June, Gov. Kate Brown lifted nearly all COVID-19 related restrictions, including executive orders that authorized mask requirements.
But due to a severe rise in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, the state is now saying it s a good idea to mask up.
Health officials say an estimated 80% of new COVID-19 cases in Oregon are associated with the more contagious delta variant.
