Students on P.E.I. will be dismissed from class two hours early out of an "abundance of caution" on Monday, April 8, the day the province and the rest of Canada will experience a full solar eclipse, says the Department of Education and Early Years.
New funding from the province will let the Charlottetown school, which its principal says is currently over capacity by about 30 students, grow by roughly 10,000 square feet.
P.E.I.'s PEERS Alliance says it's comforted by a joint letter from the province and education officials doubling down on support for members of the LGBTQ community.
