someone left the litter on zipped up duffle bag on the counter of a tulsa convenience store. thankfully, the puppies are okay. the four responding officers couldn t resist and adopted one each. the fifth went home with a store employee. oh, how heart warming. those your headlines. let s check in with meteorologist adam klotz for our fox weather forecast. adam: good morning, kayleigh, what we are track something a big cold front in the middle of the country bringing heavy rain at times and a lot of folks seeing heavy snow with it you see in front of the boundary temperatures running up into the 60 s. back behind it quite a bit colder air spots in the northern plains spots in single digits or below zero. we have wind chill watches and alerts back there as some real winds getting up to 40, 50 miles per hour going to make it feel like 30 or 40 degrees below zero with that system because of all that cold air back behind it and right along that frontal boundary that is an area where we are s

jenna: now this fox news alert. we re tracking some dangerous rip currents from a few parts of the country. meteorologist maria molina joins us from the fox extreme weather center with more on this. jenna, temperatures warming up across the eastern half of the country. today we ll see highs in the 90s. what people are doing starting to head out to the beach. we need to stay alert because there is rip current risk in your area and out at the beach and you actually stay out of the water. one of those areas that we re track something across south florida, from jupiter inlet down to ocean roof. what is happening we have the gusty wind blowing water onshore, 15 to 20 miles-an-hour. the water has nowhere to go and channels form pulling it you back out to sea. if you re stuck in one of rip currents a lot of people try to swim back onshore and they get fatigued. unfortunately we do see some fatalities occasionally. you need to swim parallel to the coast and try to get out of the rip current
