Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world: 1. Megan Gianforte is used to robbing opposing shooters, but did you know she robbed a bank? Well, not literally. Gianforte, Richmond’s star goalie, shared more about her FBI internship last summer and the outlook for the 2021 season. 2. Griffin Westlin is poised to be the quarterback of the Notre Dame offense in 2021. Westlin, the lefty feeder, is looking to become the next star on the Irish offense. It will help to have faceoff man Kyle Gallagher in from Penn to win Notre Dame more possessions.

Panther City Announces Tracey Kelusky as Head Coach

Monday January 25th, 2021 4:16pm The Panther City Lacrosse Club has named Tracey Kelusky Head Coach, the team announced today. “This is an exciting day for the Panther City Lacrosse Club and for our city of Fort Worth” said General Manager Bob Hamley. “I am proud to announce Tracey Kelusky as our Head Coach. Tracey has a rich history in our game and is a talented Coach. Tracey has a proven ability to develop players and maximize their abilities. For these and many other reasons, we are thrilled to have him represent Panther City Lacrosse. Kelusky previously served as the Offensive Coach for the Philadelphia Wings, where he oversaw the highest-scoring offense in the league during the 2019-2020 season. Before coaching with Philadelphia, Kelusky was an assistant coach for the New England Blackwolves following a 14-year playing career.

Stamper s Musings: More Players to Keep an Eye on for the 2021 NLL Draft

(Photo: Steve Hiscock) Last week, I rolled out my way early 2021 National Lacrosse League mock draft, naming 14 players likely to go in the first round when the draft is held later this year. Now, I want to share some other notes on other players of interest for the draft.  Of the 14 players I listed in my mock, 12 reside in Ontario and two in British Columbia. That s a pretty heavy tilt towards the east, but it s not out of line with the way the draft has been going.

That is not a rhetorical question. IL Indoor is opening it up to you to vote in a tournament-style bracket to decide which of the team that have captured the NLL championship in the 21st century would win if they were all competing for the title of grand champion. We have seeded the 20 winners. To do so, we looked at won/loss records, goals for and against differential, where they finished in their division and overall in the NLL, considered all the variables and ranked them from 1 to 20. The matchups are only getting tighter as we roll through the Round of 16. Today, two teams that share some elements even though they won their titles seven years apart. Only one can move on to the quarterfinals. You make the call.

The 16th seeded Colorado Mammoth of 2006 face the team that won the championship two years before them, the 17th seeded 2004 Calgary Roughnecks.
