PRACHIN BURI: The driver was killed and both passengers injured when a pickup veered off a road and overturned in Muang district on Monday night, police said.
Pol Capt Damrong Thonglob, a Muang police duty officer, said the accident occurred about 8.30pm on a newly built section of Highway 33 which had not been opened to traffic, near Dong Yang Nai village in tambon Non Hom.

TAWAU: A man escaped unscathed after the Toyota Vigo
(pic) he was driving was destroyed in a fire at Jalan Ladang Merotai at 10.40am, Thursday.
District Fire and Rescue Chief Zulbada Alior said following a MERS999 emergency call received at 10.46am, 10 firefighters along with a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle led by senior officer, Hajim Abdul Malak went to the location 30km away.
The fire was brought under control at 11.20am and the operation ended at 11.29am. No injuries were reported and the victim said he panicked on finding the vehicle he was driving caught fire.
