19-year-old driver killed in Powhatan crash
A 19-year-old Powhatan High School graduate was killed Saturday in a crash on Route 60 (Anderson Highway), according to Virginia State Police. John M. Jeffers, 19, of Powhatan, was wearing a seatbelt when he crashed. He died at the hospital.

POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. A 19-year-old Powhatan High School graduate was killed Saturday in a crash on Route 60 (Anderson Highway), according to Virginia State Police.
John M. Jeffers, 19, of Powhatan, was wearing a seatbelt when he crashed.
He died at the hospital. The preliminary investigation reveals that a 2008 Toyota Tocoma was heading east on Route 60 when it ran off the road right and struck a tree, a Virginia State Police spokesperson wrote in an email.
