Bin collections resume in Boston, but still delays in other areas
Affecting East Lindsey and North Kesteven
A message of thanks for our bin men in Lincolnshire.
Residents in the districts of East Lindsey and North Kesteven will face delays with some of their waste collections, but normal service has resumed in Boston.
Bin collections in Boston and parts of East Lindsey were suspended from January 27 for the rest of that week as waste crews either had coronavirus or were self-isolating.
Boston Borough Council said all collections resumed on Monday, February 8 and are back to the normal scheduled calendar. This means it is green bins this week and recycling next week.
A more detailed list can be viewed on the Council’s website at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/missedbin
The majority of the recycling (grey) bins will be full by the next scheduled collection so we will take additional bags of recycling presented with the grey bin.
Assistant Director for Operations at the Council, Victoria Burgess, said: “We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support to our crews and we are working hard to solve the issues we are facing around accumulation of household waste.
“I would ask residents to help our crews next week by not presenting bins that don’t require emptying.
