A driver who struck and killed a 65-year-old man while he was in a crosswalk in downtown Hershey last month has been cited with careless driving, a summary offense that could result in a license suspension, prosecutors said.
A summary citation was filed Monday charging Hershey resident Michelle H. Walls, 56, with careless driving resulting in death. The citation is ordering her to pay $629 in fines for the March 3 crash that killed 65-year-old Karl Piasecki. She could also be facing six months to a year-long license suspension, according to PennDOT spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler.
