âEmile Bair, 78, of Holly, died Sunday, Dec. 13.
âBair was the constable for Rose Township for 29 years. He also was a Boy Scout leader and a member of the Holly American Legion. He served his country for 20 years, serving in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and he was retired from General Motors after 36 years of service.
âBair held the elected office for decades, however, he became ill in 2018. The Board of Trustees accepted his signed letter of resignation by a vote of 3 to 2. Clerk Debbie Miller and Trustee Glen Noble cast the dissenting votes.
âRose Township Clerk Debbie Miller said, âHe was the most lovely and kind man you would ever have the chance to meet. Emile was loved by everyone and he will be missed by all that knew him.â
