A Bristol Township electric bike manufacturer has made a huge impact on children around the country living with a potentially fatal genetic disorder.
Bristol Township-based Electric Bike Technologies Inc. has given away 10 of its Liberty Trikes to children with a condition known as spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), and CEO Jason Kraft says he hopes to give away 20 more in 2021.
Kraft s company specializes in making electric-powered bikes and trikes, with its Liberty Trike specifically made to give adults with mobility issues an alternative to a motorized scooter. Originally it was almost designed by seniors for seniors as an alternative to a mobility scooter, and that’s really where it shines, Kraft said.
