PLANS to install three new wellness hubs across the borough to give residents free access to health and exercise spaces to improve mental and physical wellbeing have been revealed. Barrow Borough Council has backed the plans for interactive outdoor exercise equipment areas, nature and wildlife developments and information centres, as well as fully inclusive play areas, at Barrow Park, Vickerstown Park, and Dalton. Councillor Iain Mooney, Barrow Borough Council s spokesperson for health and wellbeing, said: “Getting outdoors and enjoying some exercise has a huge value to everyone. “It’s particularly helpful as a way of maintaining good health and wellbeing for all residents, something that is a priority for this council. “The plan is to install outdoor exercise equipment in our parks next year thanks to money secured in September through the Towns Fund Accelerated Funding scheme. “We are busy working up the detail of a network of wellbeing hubs with partners as part of the
