TONAWANDA, N.Y. Town of Tonawanda Police said two pedestrians were struck Thursday on Sheridan Drive, prompting the road to be closed for some time.
A juvenile was taken to Oishei Children s Hospital for treatment. The other victim, 21-year-old Ramses Rodriguez of Tonawanda, was taken to Erie County Medical Center. Police say both of their injuries are non-life threatening.

Sharon Hunter was in Lincoln Park Sunday afternoon with her daughter, 5-year-old Sarai, and her nephew, 6-year-old Josiah, when they met Town of Tonawanda Police Officer Schultz. They both dream of being a police officer when they grow up, Hunter said. He gave them a tour of the police car and explained everything on his belt. Then he gave them both badges and encouraged them to follow their dream.

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) â A beloved Town of Tonawanda Police lieutenant who died of cancer has received a posthumous promotion.
The Town of Tonawanda formally approved former Lieutenant Christine Milosich s promotion to captain on Monday, one week after she passed away.
Chief of Police James Stauffiger said in a Facebook post the department is grieving her death as they remember her for her engaging personality, work ethic, sense of humor and zest for life, saying it was an honor to serve alongside her.

Lieutenant Christine Milosich died March 1 after a brave fight with cancer. She was 39 years old.
Milosich was hired by the town in 2008 and became the first female to be promoted to lieutenant in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department.
Milosich championed the department s Community Services Program and residents often saw her on the Town of Tonawanda Facebook page doing Facebook live videos.
