A traffic stop in the area led to criminal charges for a man who was found in possession of drugs, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Putnam County Sheriff Deputy Shane Rossiter was on patrol at approximately 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20 near the intersection of Route 6 and Simpson Road in Carmel when he pulled over a 2008 Dodge Charger for an expired inspection on his vehicle.
During the subsequent stop, it is alleged that it was determined that the driver, area resident Todd Carmody, 39, was in possession of cocaine, Suboxone, and marijuana, prompting Rossiter to take him into custody.
