RIDGEFIELD, CT The town is now accepting applications for the positions of firefighter/paramedic or firefighter/EMT. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, non-smokers, in good physical condition and of high moral character, according to the job listing. No previous firefighting experience is required.
Candidates should possess a valid State of Connecticut Paramedic license, as well as a valid Connecticut vehicle operator s license, or one from a state with Connecticut reciprocity.
The Town of Ridgefield requires candidates to have successfully passed the Candidate Physical Ability Test and must provide proof of valid CPAT effective no earlier than July 1, 2019, or have passed the CPAT by the time of appointment (anticipated mid-July).

The Town of Ridgefield will be accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic or Firefighter/EMT through 4:00 PM, Friday, May 7, 2021.
Applicants MUST be non-smokers, in good physical condition and of high moral character interested in a career in the Ridgefield Fire and EMS Services.
No previous firefighting experience is required. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess a valid State of Connecticut Paramedic license to be considered for a position. Candidates must also possess a valid Connecticut vehicle operator’s license or eligible for CT reciprocity.
