AMHERST – A draft five-year plan on financing four major building projects indicates borrowing $90.75 million is needed to do the work.
This information is from the Amherst Joint Capital Planning Committee’s [JCPC] most recent report, published online Friday.
The financial estimates include fiscal years 2022 through 2026.
The report says $20 million for new public works facility and $15.75 million to expand and renovate Jones Library, with those borrowings happening next year
In four years, the estimates include borrowing $40 million for a new elementary schools and $15 million to build a new fire station.
