Doesnt hit warp speed or gentrification. We no longer can survive and afford to live in the neighborhood where there is not a Community Benefit in a real way. Reporter while all those that spoke up were in favor of the sale, they also wanted to make sure displacement of the community was addressed. This is an opportunity for us to perhaps, perhaps, develop something that may be good for the black community. Reporter but whos looking out for the people that reside here in the city of oakland . The challenge is that development at that site will continue to displace black folks. Reporter stake holders want to make sure that local businesses, contractors, and local vendors are given a fair shake of the project happening at the coliseum site. If nothing happens, we know the displacement will continue. But maybe a project of this size can actually provide the resources to ensure the communities are protected. So how does purchasing the coliseum site help get the as a new stadium miles away
