Our reporterDimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): A book lounge ‘The White Owl,’ where people can buy or borrow books, was inaugurated by Kaisa Rio, wife of Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, on Saturday at Chümoukedima, adjacent to Niathu Resort entrance gate. People who love to read can come and buy books as well as apply for membership and borrow books from the library. The kind of books available at the book lounge included fiction, non-fiction, Naga literature, classics, children books and others. There is also a separate library room for children, mindful nest- a room for seminars, discussion, or book clubs, as well as a cafe within the library. The proprietor of the book lounge, Viketuno Rio, shared that it has always been a dream to have a space where people can come and read. She shared that her vision was to build a community of readers, where they can make meaningful new connections and ultimately transform the world around them. Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): ‘Delight in His Glory,’ a piano concert with Samuel King, and Albert Kanken Odyuo was held on May 23 at Town Baptist Church in Dimapur. An update from the organisers issued on May 23 informed that the concert is part of the two-day piano concert and masterclass offered by Golden Crown Theological College in collaboration with Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA). The duo enchanted the crowd – comprising mainly of music students, teachers and musicians- with several pieces from Norwegian composers such as Geirr Tveitt, and Edvard Grieg; German romantic composer such as Schumann and Liszt; impressionist French composers Ravel and Debussy.
