The Allen Police Department said two brothers killed four family members before killing themselves.
Officers discovered the six family members at a home in the Dallas suburb at approximately 1 a.m. on Monday after a friend of the family called to report a social media post from one of the brothers, the Allen Police Department confirmed to The Hill.

The brother posted a suicide letter on social media describing the graphic incident.
The six deceased are the brothers, Farhan Towhid and Tanvir Towhid; their father, Towhidul Islam; their mother, Iren Islam; their grandmother, Altafun Nessa; and their 19-year-old sister, Farbin Towhid.

CBS DFW reports 19-year old Farhan Towhid left a suicide note on social media detailing how he’s been battling depression since 9th grade. He wrote about an agreement he made with his brother, Tanvir Towhid, 21.
“If we can’t fix everything in a year, we’ll kill ourselves and our family,” he wrote.
Police conducted a welfare check on the family after receiving a call from a concerned friend.
“The friend had seen the post that his friend made on Instagram, and that’s what made him call and say that he was concerned for his wellbeing,” Allen Police Sgt. Jon Felty said.

DALLAS (AP) Authorities have identified six people found dead in a suburban Dallas home in what police said was an apparent murder-suicide plot.
The Allen Police Department said investigators believe brothers Tanvir Towhid, 21, and Farhan Towhid, 19, made a pact to kill their parents, sister and grandmother before killing themselves. The bodies were found early Monday by officers performing a welfare check, Sgt. Jon Felty said.
