Hundreds marched in solidarity in downtown Rapid City on July 4 to raise awareness about Indigenous people being disproportionately targeted, jailed and killed by the city’s law enforcement. NDN Action Network (NDN), a Rapid City-based 501(c)(4) entity and Indigenous rights group, organized the march, dubbed “March Towards Justice: Holding Police Accountable,” near the Pennington County Jail. “Today is the continuation of our expression of our love for the people, for our community,” NDN Action Network Local Organizer Sunny Red Bear said in a statement.
