The Bloomington City Council approved engineering and funding for the final phases of the $46 million Locust/Colton water main and sewer replacement project.
Starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday, there will be a road closure on Towanda Avenue for the hot-mix asphalt paving of the College Avenue and Towanda Avenue intersection.
The work will be focused on the intersection at Towanda and College avenues and local access will be maintained. The road is also expected to be open overnight.
