President Cyril Ramaphosa has finally announced the much-anticipated minister of electricity as Kgosientsho 'Sputla' Ramakgopa, ending speculation about the ministry which had started causing much public debate. Ramokgopa had been serving as the head of infrastructure and investment at the office of the presidency until now.
The department of tourism has come out in defence of the alleged unprocedural appointment of three people to its board, saying the positions had to be filled urgently and there was no time for the regular screening process to be followed.
