Azerbaijan has opened Trade and Tourism Representative Offices in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The event was attended by co-chairs of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel – Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and Minister of Tourism of Israel Yoel Razvozov, members of Azerbaijani delegation, Israeli officials and business representatives, members of the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The premises of the Azerbaijani Trade Representative Office were demonstrated to the attendees.
Co-chair of the Joint Commission, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov in his speech highly appreciated bilateral cooperation based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect. The minister expressed his confidence that Trade and Tourism Representative Offices in Israel would play an important role in development of bilateral trade and strengthening economic relations.

The usually popular multi-destination combination tours, which include combinations involving one or more of Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Syria, have suffered a major downturn in 2011 especially as Egypt is usually the core destination for these tours.
