Manoj Jarange, who has been on a hunger strike for the Maratha quota for nine days, is now suffering from dehydration and is being given intravenous fluids, according to doctors monitoring his condition. The activist has refused to drink water and fluids if a decision on the quota is not made within four days.
A delegation of the Maharashtra government, comprising ministers, on Tuesday failed to convince Manoj Jarange, whose hunger strike for Maratha quota entered the 8th day, to withdraw his protest.
