Injury-time goals from Andre Gray and James Tarkowski saw Brentford grab a shock 2-2 opening day draw with the Blues at Griffin Park. Town had seemed well on their way to claiming all three points via goals from Kevin Bru and debutant Ryan Fraser either side of the break, but the Bees struck twice in time added on to claim a hugely unlikely point.
Debutant sub Macauley Bonne netted an injury-time equaliser as Town drew 2-2 at home to Morecambe in an entertaining opening-day encounter at Portman Road. Cole Stockton put the visitors ahead on 22 before Scott Fraser levelled for the Blues in the 61st minute. Stockton was gifted a second on 72 before Bonne spared Town’s blushes right at the death.
Town visit Nottingham Forest for the final game of their disappointing 2016/17 season on Sunday looking for their first win at the City Ground since December 1999, a victory which could relegate the hosts (Sky Sports 3, from 11.30am, KO midday).
