Stock has rallied 900 since it first began trading. Hallelujah its been a remarkable move. And completed with an increase where the dow dropped, s p declined. 59 , nasdaq climbed. 38 , four Straight Days down for the dow. I have to admit ive liked google at 85 a share and used a 200 price target that first day, something that raised eyebrows pretty much everywhere as way too wide eyed. But ive always been the big believer in buying what you know. And use, of course, after doing the homework. And this stock seemed ridiculously cheap to me from the get go. One of the reasons why stems from the way google did the ipo in a confusing public option, not the typical road show managed by big wall street. I want to start with this quote. Franklin roosevelt, president roosevelt died on april 12, 1945. This was just a few weeks before world war ii in europe was over, just a couple of months before world war ii in the Pacific Theater was over. Roosevelt made it almost to the end of the war. Obviously these were not equally traumatic events to the country. But it is kind of remarkable that just six days after roosevelts death, who had been president for 12 years, the new president harry truman issued a statement at the white house, a statement of bereavement recognizing the death of ernie pyle, a newspaper reporter. President truman said the nation is quickly saddened at the death of ernie pyle. The other Program Chris mentioned, the Supportive Services for veterans families the ssp have is a new program started by this administration three years ago to prevent lowincome veteran families from falling into homelessness and last year alone it served more than 60,000 veterans and their family members in next year we expect that number to grow to over 100,000.
