Speaking here at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS), Toshihiro said the plant would have an installed production capacity of 10 lakh units per annum.
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) will invest Rs 35,000 crore to set up its second manufacturing facility in Gujarat as it looks to ramp up annual production capacity to over 40 lakh units by 2030-31, Suzuki Motor Corporation President Toshihiro Suzuki said on Wednesday.

In a significant development towards meeting the needs of the automobile sector in the country, Maruti Suzuki India will invest Rs 35,000 crore to set up its second manufacturing facility in Gujarat.
Maruti Suzuki: The company plans to set up a second plant in Gujarat and add a new production line in the already existing plant there to take the total production capacity to 2 mn units a year.
Addressing the inaugural session of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, the Prime Minister noted that this has already been forecast by most rating agencies. He also highlighted that India has become the fifth largest economy from the 11th largest economy over the last 10 years.
