Of course, after my gripe yesterday about New Japan “grenading” interest, they drew a crowd of 641 – a little bit below the NOAH show that ran there hours earlier, but it almost doubled the attendance for Thursday’s show, and was New Japan’s highest crowd since the New Japan Cup quarter-final show.
Oh, we’re back to the reduced hard camera side for this…
Night seven of the Road to Wrestling Dontaku tour took place today at Korakuen Hall.
The top three matches featured the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions facing members of Bullet Club in singles matches, with YOSHI-HASHI vs. KENTA, Hirooki Goto vs. Taiji Ishimori and Tomohiro Ishii vs. Yujiro Takahashi.
KENTA, Takahashi and Ishimori will challenge Goto, Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI for those NEVER Six-Man titles on tomorrow s Road to Wrestling Dontaku event, a 5:30 a.m. Eastern time show on NJPW World.

This was not good, but it was kept short.
Yano and Fale began. Yano tried to slam Fale, but failed. Fale easily slammed Yano. Both tagged out. Owens and Honma traded back elbow strikes. Honma missed a kokeshi and it afforded Bullet Club the opportunity to work over Honma in their corner.
Yano got a lukewarm tag and untied a corner pad. He again tried and failed to slam Fale. Fale ran into the exposed buckle. Yano tried another slam. Fale slammed Yano.
Owens tagged in and sent Yano into the buckle. Yano used a hair pull to set up a tag to Honma. Honma hit a kokeshi on Owens. Owens came back with a jewel heist for a near fall.
