this, brian, about 10 years ago. we really thought that teaching matters and that teacher quality matters and to be honest, we think that teacher quality is union work because if you really want to help kids learn, you ve got to collaborate to make sure that happens because kids are first. but how did you get the mesh to happen? how did you realize that you put your hand out to the district and they return it and say let s work on this together. who made the initial step? well, we did initially as teachers, we made the initial step to the superintendent. and said hey, we re interested in looking at a new way that we could look at teacher quality and new way of teacher evaluation and a new way of professional growth. we re actually the ones that brought that. some teachers, i understand, were not for this. they wanted the traditional setup, correct? yeah. sometimes what you know, you have to help members see that in actuality, if you do this, you actually will improve the pr
