HADDAM The Connecticut River Gateway Commission appointed a negotiator Wednesday to pursue the acquisition of a new tract of land along the river in town.
Details of the potential acquisition, such as the size of the land or its precise location, were not publicly revealed by the commission, which met for nearly two hours in executive session on Wednesday afternoon.
After exiting those private talks, the commission appointed David Brown, of the Middlesex County Land Trust, to continue negotiations with the property owners on behalf of the commission.
