reporter: well, there s no way to predict this far out, 48 or 72 hours whether wednesday or thursday will be a tornado day, but there certainly will be severe thunderstorms, towers going up, 40,000, 50,000 feet high making wind and hail, for sure. there s a special kind of ingredient you need, that sheer, to get the tornado to go, but somewhere in the plains, texas, oklahoma, kansas, somewhere here there will definitely be tornados on the ground this week. i m certainly not going to tell you it s going to be central oklahoma. that s just too small of a spot. there will be bulls eyes across the west, but probably not here. we ll have to watch it. obviously, part of the problem with oklahoma city getting hit, moore is getting bigger, oklahoma city is getting bigger. you put a bigger target, it s going to get hit more times. what a sad, sad story. chad, we can always count on you for the latest information. chad is on the scene for us watching this developing story. thank you.
fine. guess what, 160, the instruments yesterday blew off the top. so they don t even know how big the winds were. but they survived it. they lost the hatch we talked to them an hour ago. what did they say? they re going to chase again to today because it is going to be another big day and tomorrow is another big tornado day. when we get into thursday, weoe were, they re trying to pick up pieces. can you imagine any kind of winds blowing those pieces around? it could get very, very dicey this week. just the idea of being inside that thing as a tornado is hitting is truly it blows my mind. think about this. think about the people in oklahoma or moore that weren t inside a tiv. exactly what i thought. in that exact storm or bigger because the storm that, you know, was 210 miles. many who told me they were in their closets, bathtubs, and many, many of them saying, brooke, i m definitely buying a storm shelter after what happened last week. they can be built. they can
atlantic hurricane season, just formed yesterday. we are about 12 or 11 days before the official start of the atlantic hurricane season. this is it. it is not that impressive. it it get a name. there is a closed center of circulation here, heading to the south of charleston. you can see the scattered clouds here and a few light showers in south carolina and georgia. we are not expecting a big problem from this storm. it is going to pull off to the northeast and it will stay away from land. as such, it s a weak storm at this point that it is not going to cause big problems. winds at 45 miles per hour and tell weak tone 40 miles per hour. even the rainfall won t be that much. we will see a few areas that see a quarter inch, half an inch of rain over the next couple of days. the first named storm will be out of here without any major problems. one other story, real quick, a threat today for severe weather in wisconsin, illinois and areas of indiana. we are not talking about a big tornado
