Serbia produces first series of Sputnik V vaccine
Belgrade, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) The first series of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19, in control doses, was produced Wednesday at Torlak Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Serums, as announced by Nenad Popovic, Serbian Government s Non-Portfolio minister in charge of Innovation and Technological Development.
Popovic remarked that this new Sputnik V series was carried out under supervision of specialists from Russia´s Fund for Direct Investment and Generium Pharmaceutical Company.
According to previous statements, this new batch will be sent to Moscow for being controlled and if approved, mass production will begin.

BELGRADE, April 15. /TASS/. Serbia has become the first country in Europe to begin production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine on its territory, Serbian Minister of Innovation and Technological Development, head of an intergovernmental Serbian-Russian cooperation committee Nenad Popovic informed on Thursday. The minister regarded [the vaccine production] as a historic moment for Serbia which became the first country in Europe to begin production of the Sputnik V vaccine on its territory, the minister’s press service said.
