Nicola Sturgeon has been urged to focus solely on tackling a resurgent coronavirus after kicking off 2021 with a flurry of activity promoting Scottish separation.
The Scottish Tories and Labour urged the First Minister to give it a rest on independence, with Scotland recording its second highest daily Covid case total.
Douglas Ross, the Scottish Conservative leader, accused her rolling out manufactured grievances instead of working on a proper plan to distribute the vaccine.
Ms Sturgeon is pushing to win an SNP majority in May s Holyrood election, with her campaign expected to centre on holding another separation referendum.
AUOB s protests in the summer were socially distanced and with hygiene and safety made a priority ALL Under One Banner have cancelled their planned protest outside Holyrood tomorrow in the wake of the strict new Covid measures announced across the UK. The grassroots campaign group had planned a static demonstration for midday on Monday December 21 to demand that “fine words are matched with action” from pro-independence politicians. The group were planning to protest on Edinburgh’s Horse Wynd to add weight to growing calls for an independence referendum to be held in 2021. George Kerevan, the former SNP MP and National columnist who was scheduled to speak at the event, said its cancellation was “both necessary and regrettable”.
