The International University Sports Federation Torch was handed over
to Chengdu during a ceremony held today prior to the city's hosting of
the FISU World University Games set to take place from June 26 to July
7 this year.
Three months from now, the Cauldron will be alight in Beijing. Until
then, the Flame is set to be exhibited around China but the formal
Torch Relay is not scheduled until February 2.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. On its way to Atlanta, the Olympic Torch Relay was in full swing, moving from coast to coast, passing through Kentuckiana on its way.
The flame was first spotted 70-miles north of Louisville in Columbus, Indiana.

A large crowd gathered in downtown Columbus for a celebration. There was a fire truck along the route, giving great views. Spectators waved American flags while cheering wildly.
