SOUTH WINDSOR, CT A golfer was bitten and a jogger was confronted by a coyote which turned out to be rabid last weekend, and police believe the animal was the same one run over and killed by a car on Sunday.
The first incident occurred Friday evening, when a player was bitten in the buttocks on the 18th hole at Topstone Golf Course. The 18th borders a railroad track and heavily wooded area; coyotes most frequently live in wooded areas, grasslands or farmland. The victim sought medical treatment on his own following the bite, Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said.
