BOXFORD Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton will have plans in place for when the COVID vaccine is widely available to residents.
“We will get you vaccinated,” said Topsfield Health Agent Wendy Hansbury. “This is what the public health system is set up for.”
The state is taking a phased approach, with hospitals last week receiving the first shipments and vaccinating workers. Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield is scheduled to receive its shipment of vaccines soon, Hansbury said. First responders, she said, will also be receiving the vaccine as soon as possible, but hopefully by mid-January at the latest.
“We are working with [Mass. Department of Public Health], who is helping everyone in the state move forward in planning and getting the vaccine out,” Hansbury said.
