Well, erica, the president hasnt said a whole lot about this issue, but he has reiterated one thing, which is that he is under audit and while hes under audit, he does not believe he needs to release his tax returns. Hes responding to what is not actually a request to him. Its a request from the house ways and Means Committee to the irs directly. And heres how he responded to another question from reporters this morning about what he thinks about the possibility that his taxes could be released under the law that the ways and Means Committee is citing in order to make this request.
