March 12 was a weird day in New London, Conn.
I drove down to cover the Northfield Mount Hermon School boys’ basketball team take on Putnam Science Academy in the semifinals of the National Prep Championship Tournament, but wasn’t sure the game was actually going to happen until I got into the gym.
