A 29-year-old rural Hudson woman who ran a troubled animal rescue has been criminally charged with three misdemeanors, accusing her of mistreating dogs and at least one cat.
Authorities have seized animals and are investigating a McLean County rescue after allegations that some were mistreated and became sick. Animal Control’s seizure notice cites allegations of animal hoarding and “humane care and treatment violations.”
On the outside, it looks like a normal house. A notice posted to the door cited they were under investigation for several violations, including hoarding and unsafe conditions for the animals. Video taken by volunteer Michelle Weed showed animals packed inside, which fur, food, and excrement scattered across the floor.
