Little january 6th insurrection. The highest court in the land today kept him on the ballot in a ruling a dodges the facts of january 6th and trumps role in it. Instead, the Supreme Court handed trump a second gift on a constitutional technicality. The justices say that states do not have the power to bar candidates from running for federal office. They say, quote, because the constitution makes Congress Rather than the states responsible for enforcing section 3 against federal Office Holders and candidates, we reverse. Theyre referring to the decision by the Colorado State Supreme Court. Now, that court found that trump did engage in insurrection by trying to overturn the will of the voters by any means possible, including violence, and that section 3 of the 14th Amendment does, in fact, apply to the presidency. Now, the Supreme Courts decision today does not touch on either the question of whether trump is or is not an insurrectionist, or whether the text of section 3 applies to him.

Exactly, bbc one taken over for three hours. The only thing we would ever have in common withjoe rogan. Serious subject first. We have an inquiry out today, or the first part of an inquiry, that was looking at how Wayne Couzens, the serving metropolitan Police Officer who murdered Sarah Everard in 2021 in london, could ever have been a metropolitan Police Officer. What was it like for you, as somebody who has got political oversight of that force, reading that report . Because in every single page there was something really bad that had gone wrong over decades . Can i begin the conversation by speaking about sarah, Sarah Everard and her family, her parents and her siblings . It is important to remember her in the context of this conversation. I remember vividly the days after sarah disappeared because i live not far from where sarah disappeared from, and it was during the pandemic and my wife and daughters would go regularly for walks in and around that area. So it brings it all back,

missing man. the obvious problem, no one could find him. this guy is potentially very dangerous. but what was real? and what was pretend? this is as diabolical as any case i ve ever seen. enter the actors. they re trying to say i m somebody that i m not. was the killer really missing? or was he hiding in plain sight? i said, this son of a bitch is dirty. somebody knew the truth. don t, don t, that can t be found. and this father refused to give up until he knew it too. everything is based on me knowing the whole story. places please. there s an empty theater. a script full of twists. a troupe of actors. and someone who set the stage for an unbelievable tragedy. i m buying it. i m buying it hook, line and sinker. all of it so well done it was hard to tell what was real and what was an illusion. i just remember his performance being it was very, very real. this is a story of a man who seemed to be at the end of his rope. it looked like he was h
