Superintendent Tony B. Watlington Sr. pitched a plan for the future of the Philadelphia School District Thursday, promising service similar to Chick-Fil-A.
Philadelphia's superintendent wants to spend $70 million on new curriculum, and wants the district to reach a level of service that’s “as good as a really nice car dealership or Chick-fil-A.”
“We still know that we do not have the staffing and resources that we need to address all of these issues,” said Victoria Flemming, the district's interim environmental chief.
