The building, once a hub of activity, had fallen on hard times.
“[I’d think], man, this place is just amazing. It’s too bad it’s so empty and sad,” the executive director of Parents By Choice said.
Then one day Yadon saw the property listed for sale – on Craigslist. It was a time when Parents By Choice, a nonprofit foster care organization, needed more space as it was bursting at the seams of its 9,000 square-foot facility on West March Lane.
It purchased Courthouse Plaza for $1.9 million, and last fall became the first of ten new occupants to lead a revitalization of the property.
