sir, this week the house of representatives is considering several cybersecurity proposals but this morning i want to talk with you about the cybersecurity proposals that are here in the senate because while there has been a lot of talk about privacy and civil liberties, implications of the house proposals and rightly so, fewer people talking about the two bills here in the senate. the fact is as they are currently drafted, both of the cybersecurity proposals in the senate present very serious threats to our privacy and civil liberties. both bills allow companies the near unfettered ability to monitor the e-mails and files of their customers. both of those companies to share that information directly with the military. both bills allow the federal government to freely share that information with law-enforcement and both bills immunize companies against grossly negligent and knowing violations of the privacy protection
updates to our operating systems to the delivery of entertainment. so they re all essential. and the reason we supported the fcc position on net neutrality was because it was a balanced approach, and i think as you evaluate it, since we re down to the last, i don t know that i ll have the last word, but the last one of the closing thoughts, is to balance those interests because they re the companies that actually build, implement this are in a better position than certainly i am or we are to adris what all is involved but it is looking at it is a balancing act. and i think as we evaluated that we realized just that, that you have to take into account the innovation opportunities, the delivery of content, as i said before. i believe that as more high-speed content is delivered i d like to believe that there will be an incentive for the investment made to deliver that broadband. and it is essential for this country, and i certainly agree with mr. diller and the rest of you

all society. i was thinking about former questions about this and the united states doing enough for that and the answer is no again because we need the leadership of the united states on this issue. i know that there lot of troubles now, not only american, but a lot of people are thinking how to recover economy, recover income, improve the conditions for their own economy. even today may be converse of the united states are trying to move now and say there isn t climate change at all and we need to change that. we need to mobilize public opinion and strain again that first there is increased carbon emissions in the world, there is an increased global average temperature, there is a correlation between carbon emissions and global warming is provoking serious changes with climate and finally, that there are solutions related with reductions of omissions. but in order to do so, we mobilize a lot of resources and mainly we need to change our style of life, and in order to do so
