FREMONT â People received fresh meats, vegetables and an encouraging word from volunteers at the Fremont food bank Tuesday.
The food bank located at 106 E. Norwayne Alumni Way serves the community on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.
The space, which belongs to Norwayne Alumni and Friends, a local nonprofit, is used by the Christian Fellowship Alliance, another nonprofit that operates the food bank each month, by providing a space for operations and distributions.
âThe people come out, they need the support here, and I think itâs just invaluable,â said Tony Moore, director of Renewal Place, the umbrella organization for the Christian Fellowship Alliance, which is composed of more than a dozen Fremont-area churches. The mission of Renewal Place is to provide food, resources and other support to residents of the northern Wayne County town.
