Since the first lockdown last April, the Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants has welcomed 11 new Liverymen and Freemen.
Despite the challenges of a pandemic year, the Livery Company has, like many others, adapted to virtual life with all admissions and installations over the last 12 months taking place via Zoom. With membership by invitation only, the Livery now has a very healthy 206 active Liverymen and 28 Freemen.
Last July, the Company held its first ever virtual admission ceremony with new Freemen Neil Carter, Longwater Construction Supplies; James Parlato, Browns Builders’ Merchants; Tony Pontin, Selco; John Ryszkowski, ACO Technologies; and Paul Beaman, Keyline.
